PUEBLO, CO — A “shattering and violent” Saturday morning has left the city of Pueblo reeling from a series of shootings that authorities now believe was a tragic family-related double homicide followed by a suicide. The Pueblo Police Department and the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office are currently conducting a joint investigation into the deaths of three individuals. According to preliminary reports, 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III is suspected of fatally shooting his father and a local woman before fleeing to Pueblo West, where he took his own life.

The incident, which spanned several miles across the city, has marked the fourth and fifth homicides in Pueblo for 2026, sparking a “visceral dialogue” regarding domestic violence and the “unfathomable toll” of gun violence on local families.

The Incident: 1:00 A.M. on East 4th Street

The nightmare began shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Pueblo Police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of East 4th Street after a ShotSpotter alert identified multiple rounds being fired in the residential neighborhood.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a “grim and harrowing scene.” They located two individuals who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds:

  • Glenn Allen Beeman Jr. (40): Found deceased in the roadway.

  • Amanda Leigh Manion (41): Discovered deceased inside a vehicle at the scene.

Both victims were pronounced dead on-site by the Pueblo County Coroner, Gregory Graheck. As tactical units began to secure the perimeter and gather suspect descriptions, the investigation took a “sudden and tragic turn” toward the west side of the county.

The Suicide: A Final Confrontation in Pueblo West

While the homicide scene was being processed, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a single gunshot in Pueblo West. Deputies responded to the area and discovered a young male suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The coroner has since identified the male as 19-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman III. Investigators believe the younger Beeman fled to Pueblo West immediately following the double shooting on East 4th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, ending a “violent and chaotic” hour that has left the community in a state of “unfathomable shock.”

The Investigation: A Son, a Father, and a Dispute

As of Sunday, April 5, the Pueblo Police Department’s Homicide Bureau remains in the “primary stages” of the investigation. While the motive is still under intensive review, preliminary reports suggest that the shooting of the elder Beeman may have occurred during a verbal or physical altercation between father and son.

Critical Factors Under Review:

  • Relationship Dynamics: Authorities are working to confirm the exact relationship between the three deceased individuals and what may have sparked the “sudden eruption of violence.”

  • Forensic Reconstruction: Detectives are analyzing the ShotSpotter data and ballistic evidence to determine the exact sequence of the double homicide on East 4th Street.

  • Timeline of Flight: Investigators are tracking the suspect’s movements between the city and Pueblo West to determine if any other individuals were in danger during his flight.

“This is a heartbreaking tragedy that stretches miles across our community,” a Pueblo Police spokesperson stated. “To lose three lives—one in such a ‘violently senseless’ manner and another by his own hand—is a ‘searing trauma’ for our city. Our focus is now on providing the remaining family members with ‘full and transparent answers.’”

A Community Under a Shadow: Gun Violence Concerns

Pueblo is a town that has struggled with its homicide rates, and the events of Saturday morning have “shattered the peace” for many residents. Neighbors in the 1200 block of East 4th Street expressed “visceral fear” after being awakened by the sound of gunfire and the sight of tactical units.

“This is the fifth homicide in our city this year, and we are only in April,” a local community leader noted while paying respects. “The impact of gun violence on our young people and our families is ‘reaching a breaking point.’ We are a community that stands together, and we are mourning with everyone affected by this tragedy today.”

How to Help: A Call for Witness Information

While the suspect is deceased, authorities are making an “urgent appeal” for public assistance to complete the final report. They are asking anyone who may have witnessed the initial argument or captured doorbell camera footage of the suspect’s vehicle to come forward.

How to Provide Information:

  • Pueblo Police Dispatch: 719-553-2502

  • Detective Phillip Vigil: 719-601-7816

  • Anonymous Tips (Crime Stoppers): 719-542-STOP (719-542-7867)

In Loving Memory of the Deceased

As the families of Glenn Allen Beeman Jr., Amanda Leigh Manion, and Glenn Allen Beeman III begin the “heartbreaking journey of final farewells,” the city stands in “collective and reverent mourning.” Though their lives were “interrupted by tragedy,” the “stain of loss” remains on both the East Side and in Pueblo West.

The yellow tape may eventually be removed, but the “call for peace and family reconciliation” echoing from East 4th Street is growing louder with every passing hour. May the victims find “eternal peace,” and may the community find the “strength and support” to heal.

Rest in peace. You were citizens of Pueblo, and you will never be forgotten.
